I have one as well and have been very happy with it. Don't get me wrong, it is not comparable to the high end scopes, but for $340 I'm convinced you will not find a better performing spotting scope. Go for it, and upgrade when you can afford it.

Totally love the Nomad, Votex makes killer optics for the price. For the price its the best scope you can get. Purchase it and you wont be disapointed.

I have the straight nomad, and it had been a good scope. My only trouble is that it seems really hard to get it focused just right with the zoom cranked up to 60x. If it just had the fine tuner knob like the skyline it would be great. Also, I think if I could do it again, I would save my $$$ for the 80mm with the angled eyepiece.

Well, I picked up the 20-60x60 this last Friday. I'm very happy with it so far. Don't have any trouble getting it to focus at 60x and it blows away my buddies $500 Leupold Sequoia. Thanks for the feedback guys.

Glad to hear you like it. I got to thinking I believe the reason mine may not focus like it should is because it fell off my tripod one time and hit a rock. Anyhow, good luck with it.

the best thing about the nomad is that it fits in a bag and it has a lifetime warranty. Where you might be worried about packing around a spotting scope worth 1200 I really am not too concerned with my nomad. your 80mm scopes will take a lot to pack around.
