So I'm in the hunt for a good quality backcountry tent. One or two man, my thoughts are the extra space would be worth the little extra weight. My biggest concerns would be condensation and weatherproof.

You know I work for an outfitter in WY and I'm not sure what brand these wall tents are but they worked really well and this picture that I'm posting if you look at how they drape an extra canvas tarp over the actual tent you have zero condensation even with a wood stove blazing inside!! I'm not sure what tents you guys are looking for but if I were to set up a wall tent this is how I would do it!! Hope this helps!!

Just to clarify I also have a wall tent and love it. Alot easier to handle than a big trailer. BUT I'm looking for a throw it in your pack under 4 pounds kinda of tent. Big agnes has a seedhouse that looks pretty good but I'm hoping for some advice based on a hunters experience and not some granola trail hikers.

Airo... i have a big agnes seedhouse 1 and i highly recommend it. Stand alone, light, and 100% waterproof.

i have a really light tent if your interested. when i bought the tent it was in a very small package and the tag said it would fit up to 3 people. i hiked 7 miles into the sids mnt wilderness and it weighed practically nothing. when i pitched the tent it popped up and ended up looking like a coffin with a small area for you to sit up. it was a bit claustraphobic and i haven't used it since. the tag must have been on the wrong tent, but i found out later the price i paid (witch was alot) was the right price for that tent just wrong discription.

this is a new double tipi that can be run without poles from a highline. the setup options are only limited by your imagination. this tent was setup in 30 mph hour winds in less than 3 min. the highline rig took about 15 min. but only because of the open space. i usually setup between 2 trees in a shaded area but for this test i wanted an exposed ridgetop for the most wind. gusts reached 50 mph and this tent can go up to 80. the silnylon is unreal as far as strength. i do not recommend setup in prolonged sun exposure because uv rays will kill tent fabric fast.
