Wanting to invest into some better outdoor wear. I find wool is still best and cotton kills. Reading a lot on Sitka Gear. Also looking at the Russel Outdoor APG? layer system. Trying to find some feedback from someone who doesn't get a kickback or free stuff for talking. Looks like $1500 to get into a set of Sitka. Russel is cheaper. Thanks in advance for any input.

sitka gear is the best stuff i have ever worn. I have the 90 percent pant for when it is cold and the ascent pant for archery hunting. Check out mountian archery they got some great deals on their sitka gear

Thanks for the info. Hard to understand what gear is best. I checked out a comparison of Russell and Sitka in Sportsman's the other day. Sitka gear very nice. Only problem is I will have to sell a pile of bone, $1200 or so, to get the basic layers. Sick of getting wet, cold, miserable, and hypothermic so almost ready to buy it. Will check out Mountain Archery. Thanks again.
