the biggest difference that you're going to notice is that the 80mm is going to transmit light better at all times of the day and much better at night than the 60mm

Hey I forgot to tell you that the smaller scope has a 65mm objective lens and not a 60mm. The 80 is going to be better if you're going to be in low light a lot and it will give you a little more clarity if you're digiscoping. I assume that you're planning to be filming or taking pictures if you're looking at the HD? The best out there will always come down to opinion. I really like swarovski, but leica, carl zeiss, and vortex all all great too. Vortex has the best warranty of any of the companies though. The 65mm would be my personal choice just because it's more compact and weighs less.

I am with Archer, I had an 80 and went to the 65. I made the trade because the 65 is much nicer to pack around. Someday I am going to buy another 80 to haul around in the truck and digiscope with though. If you plan on backpacking it around I would go with the 65, but really if you dont pack alot, the 80 is the way to go IMO.
