Well, the opener came and is gone but the excitement is still there. We were SOOOOOOOOO dang close to getting it done on opening night, but oh well, I guess that's why they call it hunting, and archery hunting presents even more complications. We've seen a lot of bulls but are still trying to narrow it down to a few. I'll keep you posted on what happens this weekend when we get back.
Glassing the night before the opener.........

Sitting in our makeshift blind that we made to try and get a bull coming to water. I could have shot every bull that came in five times, but when the big one came in he winded us and didn't present a shot.

Reg and Brandon hanging out with me while we were sitting...... thanks everyone already for all the help-that's what makes it even funner!!

A little video clip of a bull starting to think about wallowing.........it's getting closer to being that sweet time of year for elk!!

I'm on the peaks too and I heard some bugles around. I missed opening morning at 35 yards! I'm pumped for the weekend though! Good luck to everyone with or without a tag.
