I have been working in price for the last week and i have went up on the manti everywhere between soldier summit and huntington every night of the week and have not seen anything bigger than a 8 inch wide 2x1. What is the deal does everyone feel the general archery hunt in utah sucks this year?

Dont give up. The hunt started with nearly full moons wind and water everywhere. All that area gets hit hard. GO FURTHER SOUTH!!

There are bucks out there, you just have to get out and find them. With all the water around they are scattered.

You are hitting the popular places i would guess. Hit the secluded terraces and get farther of the tops would be my advice, any of those terraces can and do hold deer when they get pressured.

The Manti is pretty sad as far as numbers and quality goes. It gets a ton of pressure and there are not many deer. They do kill some nice bucks, but those are the lucky hunters. If you hunt the weekends you are sure to run into a hunter every 100 yards or so. Good luck!

90% of the southeastern hunters hunt between I-70 and highway 6. No matter What hunt you choose you will never have a spot to yourself. I hope you see some good deer but having grown up in Manti I know how rare those moments have become on our mountain.
